Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Early Elementary Goals

Since September, the studio has been blessed to have a number of Pre-K students, ages 3 and 4 years old, as well as kindergartners and very early elementary-aged students.  It is a wonderful age to learn.  The effect of an early start in music; the impact on a child’s entire academic journey, as well as personal development, is deep and  profound.  My approach is to work through a very wide “neural tunnel”. What a Day……Holiday Recital, 2013!!!

This afternoon, December 7, 2013, the Aine Wendler Piano Studio presented the 2013 Holiday Recital.  It was held at 2:00 pm at the Recital at Schmitt Music, in Overland Park, KS.  It was a busy, busy day.  Twenty-five students ranging in age from 3 to 14 years old performed before a standing-room-only crowd.  Due to the rush and bustle of getting the recital onstage, I failed to take pictures.  Luckily, my husband took some pictures of a few of the students performing, this afternoon. Maeanna, Johnalia, and Paula.   Paula Sweeny, Johnalia Hall, and Maeanna Hall were selected to perform on the Federated Music Teachers of Kansas City Fall Honors Recital which was held at the Concert Hall at Schmitt Music on Sunday, 09/15/2013.  Paula performed “Bourree in E Minor” by J.S.
